It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of the 68th District in the Michigan House of Representatives. I have been hard at work since beginning my first term of office in January 2007. It has been an extremely busy and challenging time as the Legislature faced an unprecedented budget deficit in 2007, delivered a balanced budget, and addressed many state issues.

Though many challenges face our great State of Michigan, I am confident that we are taking the right steps to turn the state around and make Michigan a place where our children and grandchildren want to live, work, and raise their families. Our work is not done however, and there are many serious issues facing Michigan. We need to invest in and improve our educational system at all levels so every child in Michigan receives a quality education that prepares them for the jobs of the 21st century. Michigan must be a magnet for businesses that will provide good-paying jobs for our residents. Healthcare must be affordable and accessible for all Michigan citizens. And, we must protect Michigan’s environment and resources, particularly our water, for generations to come.

I would like the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of the 68th District in the Michigan House of Representatives. I’m excited about the campaign ahead and will work hard for your continued support. I look forward to hearing from voters across the district about your ideas to make Michigan a better state... and I pledge to continue to make sure your voice is heard in the Capitol.
